Zombie and FoW SS HQ

Afternoon readers, time for another update and fairly quickly after the last one too, shocking ;)

Managed to get my first Studio Miniatures zombie painted up over the past few days, really enjoyed it such a change from same old GW models and I've been able to add some character to the base too :)

Onto pics:

The base itself is resin which was sent to me by Mr Feral when he sent the zombies, decided to add some inner city touches to it so what better way than a tatty page from a news paper and the wrapper from som Mcdonalds chips :P

I'm pretty pleased with the Skin tone which I was happy with first attempt. Got another 2 base coated so they will pop up on here in the coming days :)

Next up are the 2 HQ command stands for my SS panzergrenadiers, which I have been working on alongside the zombie:

had a crack at peadot camo on the odd guy which I am rather happy with, no where near as hard to do as I thought it was going to be :)

To finish off the HQ i still need to paint 2 panzershreck squads and some transports  , I'll be working on these alongside the next batch of zombies

Whilst I'm here I thought I would mention the blog of a friend of mine from the AmmoBunker, I've finally managed to twist The_Great_Gonzos arm into setting up a blog to show off his work, here is a link:

http://gonzos-war-on2fronts.blogspot.com/

His blog will be following his exploits in FoW, hes working on a range of different forces, from German Fallschirmjäger to a Soviet Sapper battalion. Well worth a look for those of you interested in historics :)

I'll have another update in a few days with some more zombies and more FoW, as ever let me know what you think guys :)

FoW SS: Das Reich StuGs and Panzer Grenadiers

Evening readers, been a while since my last post  and I apologise again however I haven't been idle :)

I've begun to update my SS army, main work being rebasing the infantry stands as well as tidying up the paint schemes. The Tanks have received more attention as I was never happy with them when I first painted them :(

So onto the pictures, Panzer Grenadier Platoon first:

Next up the first 2 StuG III Gs:

I'm really pleased with how the tanks have come out, far far better than my original attempts :)

I will be continuing to work on updating my SS along side myther current projects, speaking of which I am now the proud owner of 17 Studio miniatures zombies courtesy of a trade with Mr Feral, more on those soon ;)

Should have another update in a week or so :)

INQ28mm Paint in progress Heretek

Evening readers, time for another update and within a reasonable timescale since the last one haha

I have still got some hobbying mojo going and have been drawn back to a project I started about septemeberish last year, and that is INQ28mm.

I have decided to finally get my heretek painted up the rough idea is to get him and a retinue of 3 done in time for the Ammo Bunker Open bash in March, as Commisar Molotov who has the INQ28mm blog will be running some intro games which will be worth a look :)

So onwards to progress, the model is still heavily paint in progress but I thought I would share him with you guys to get some thoughts:

And his base:

A big thank you goes out to Mr Feral who gave me a few tips on painting the red, cheers dude. Speaking of which the red still needs a few glazes to add some shadows in the deepest recesses.

I'm thinking of possible adding some hazard stripes to the base to break up the solid metal tones, as it looks a little boring at the moment.

Also welcome to new follower Munky, cheers for the support dude

First finished model of 2012

Morning readers hope you all had a good New Year and Christmas Period :-) its time for my first update of 2012:

As most of you know my mojo and interest for the hobby is pretty much gone and this year shall likely be incredibly slow model wise. However the past few days I have actually had a small bit of interest come back and have managed to finish a single marine for my Steel Praetorians Chapter:

Taken me about 3 days on and off to paint him, rather pleased with how he has turned out just need to decide on a chapter symbol for them so as it can go on his left shoulder pad. The suggest of a friend was to find a symbol the Roman Praetorian Guard used and simply modify that, so I think that is the dirrection I shall head in.

You will probably see a tatical squad of these guys get slowly painted up over the next few months, if my interest holds that is. As such my previous post with a list of things to do in the new year has gone out the window my main aim now is to finish at least 15 models during the course of the year a low number I know but I think even this few will be a struggle :-(

Also on the painting front I have begun to paint a Lunar Class Cruiser for BFG:

Its heavily WiP but is rather straight forward just loads of dry brushing and then I will pick out details like guns as well as adding some fine details like windows, some of which are on that picture (the white dots)

Well thats it for now hopefully there wont be massive gaps between updates, I shall try and get back into the habit of posting on here even if the updates will just be text or the odd sketch or something.

Before I go welcome to new follower Elotsip, cheers for the support dude :)
