Infinity: Converted Order Sergeant Hacker

Evening guys,

time for the usual Sunday update, this time it is another infinity based one.

I have been working on a conversion for an order Sergeant hacker as currently there isn't an official model for it. So after looking through the Infinity range I decided that a Kamau would make the ideal basis for my conversion. This is because a lot of the armour details are the same as the order srts that I already have.

Add in a few nights work and some GS and I ended up with this:

Needs a little tidying up but I am very happy with how she has turned out. She is now added ot my infinity painting Queue so will be a while until you see her fully painted up.

Well thats it for this short update, I should have something of a more shambling nature mid week hopefully......

  1. Great conversion. I find it so hard to convert infinity models as they are obviously created for painters not modellers so it is great to see on well done like you have :)

    1. Cheers dude, tbh I think in general they are quite hard to convert, with the Military orders I can see where I would add a tabard for example but if I was working on another faction I think I would be left struggling for ideas to start with.

  2. You're enjoying this Infinity malarkey aren't you?

I never could work out how to sculpt cloth like the tabard on your conversion there. Not a sausage of an idea!

    1. I am really enjoying it dude, really fin to paint and a nice challenge to convert somethign really different from Grim Dark.

Tabards aren't too bad when you get the knack, I just use clay shapers its just about getting it to flow naturally with the model and keep whatever movement is in the base model going.

You should have a practise as you sculpting work is pretty good from what you have shown me

  3. Considering the tiny scale of the Infinity stuff that is seriously good work.

  4. YAY, Infinity conversions!

Seriously though, very well done, and it definitely proves my continuing point that just because the models are more delicate than other games, and metal, that it is still possible to convert and do some great creations with them. Very nicely done!

    1. Many thanks dude, I think its just a case of finding the right model. For me I picked the Kamau because its armour matches in quite closely with the Order Sergeants so straight a way you have a visual link.

I do think its easier if you are picking models for a sectorial force as they have a stronger theme going through them than just the standard lists such as the tabards look of the military orders. However I do think I would really struggle to start with if say I had to convert something for Aleph or Tohaa for example.
